Right in my backyard. I always knew I had a passion for photography. Even so, it wasn't driven until I started to take photos of my little sister and our dog in the place we grew up in. This was something that I thought was normal for me, but after looking back at the photos, something immediately clicked. I couldn't stop grinning from looking at them. Being able to take the photos and share them with my mom was what I really enjoyed. There is something so magical about capturing a moment and keeping it with you forever. The happiness my mom got from these photos made me realize that I want to do the same for others.

To be able to tell a story. To capture a memory. Call it magic, call it photography. Whatever you decide to call it, I want people to look back at their photos and feel the same way I do. Sometimes I am amused, joyful, or simply bitter that I cannot return to a certain time in my life. Nevertheless, I will always have a part of my life with me in these photos. If someone were able to look back at their photos with a loved one or return to a specific time in their life and feel those emotions, my job is done. Between you and me, time traveling is real. And it is the complete essence of why I do what I do.

My name is Tina and I love being  a goof, working with animals, and my hometown. I was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan. I love Lansing. I love the seasons, the small towns, but most of all, I love the people. I grew up in a diverse community and that is something that I will always love about what this city has done for me.

In High School, I attended two separate schools so that I could get a general education while learning about Digital Film, Photography, Design Imaging, and Sound Design. I've been given the opportunities to work with students and teach classes on the concepts of photography and how to edit. I love connecting with others and my passion only grew from there. After graduating from high school, I continued my studies in college to pursue a Photography Degree. I am currently studying Professional Communications. While photography is my main interest, I make short films as a hobby and am always working on personal projects.

Photography is just a small stepping stone for the person I want to become. I am thankful for all of my clients for letting me take part in their journey. They've all written their own stories, and my efforts are to tell those stories in the best way that I can.
